My aim is to provide best possible access to therapy. I am an in-network provider for the following insurance companies:

  • Quartz;
  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield;
  • HealthPartners MN;
  • PreferredOne.

I am a co-creator of Therapy Space and have practiced psychotherapy in the US and Canada. My formative training was in Creative Arts Therapy, and I have had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical, community, and educational settings.

I believe therapy is a space to develop strengths and resources, as well as examining problems and personal struggles. I enjoy working in a creative and collaborative way with people to support insight and foster positive change in areas of struggle and pain. I see my job as applying psychotherapy skills so that individuals experience growth and increased sense of well-being, while remaining the expert of their lives.

I specialize in treating adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and transition challenges which typically manifest through relationship, career, and academic problems. I also have extensive experience with children and adolescent issues.

Adults face complex issues that change over time.  Issues involving life transitions, education and work, and family and relationships.

“I saw Amy for three years and she helped me change my life.  She brings a gentleness and warmth to her practice which created a safe enviroment for me to explore my issues, learn, and grow.  I cannot thank her enough.”
– Eve

“I reached out to Amy when I was at a very low point in my life – miserable at my job, unhappy in my current living situation wanting to move across the country, but feeling paralyzed in making decisions motivated by myself and not the people around me. I was having severe anxiety and completely lost in how to get to a place I desired to be. Now, I am at a new job, a new city, and have never felt more proud of myself. I could not have gotten here without Amy and I truly owe it to her. She allowed a space for me to put myself first, helped me unpack my anxiety and my struggle in making decisions, and helped me deconstruct my dreams into smaller, achievable steps. I would recommend Amy and Therapy Space to anyone and everyone who is looking to find support, grow as a person, and to make space for yourself. ”  -Maggie C.
