Each of us has our own unique story. Oftentimes, aspects of it can bring us pain and confusion, leading us to develop disruptive thoughts and behaviors. This is when therapy can be helpful. My clients tend to be individuals and couples who realize they are not living at their fullest potential and want to get there. Together, we can create a space where you feel safe to explore problematic patterns and connect with healthy, more productive ones that move you forward.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, using aspects of psychodynamic, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology as well as creative approaches like art, movement, metaphor, and visualization. Additionally, research increasingly shows a strong connection between our psychological, emotional, and physical beings and how each can damage as well as heal the other. As a CYT (Certified Yoga Teacher) I bring an understanding of how to align our mind, body and spirit.
I do individual and couple therapy in the following areas:
- eating disorders
- relational issues
- work/life balance
- life transitions
- gender issues
Further, issues and concerns can be connected to other parts of our lives, so I am open to exploring whatever is meaningful for you.
